TRT World commissioned Annette to report on the 2022 Australian Election. It was a long day, and a true collaboration with the team in Istanbul, with Annette writing the script, the editors in Istanbul matching the pictures, and then Annette recording the voiceover and a final piece to camera in the early hours of the morning at Blues Point in Sydney – unfortunately, they turned the lights off on the Sydney Harbour bridge behind her just as she started her piece.
She had already done several live crosses into TRT World News programs – including standing in the rain – and next day, they asked her to do a couple more – so she picked her favourite spot, with the city in the background, to do them
